We did not go to clinic today. Daniel was up most of the night coughing and had a runny nose this morning. I thought it best to keep him home and see if he got any better. I still fed him his 5 meals for the day and he ate the food fine. The drink has become another problem so I need to talk with the therapist when we go back tomorrow. He was consistently drinking approximately 3.5 oz of drink with his meal. He stopped doing that after Monday. At this point, I don't know exactly the cause but I believe it was the substitute therapist that tried a new way of drinking with him and caused him to get air in his belly. I could be wrong and it might be that he has a sore throat, but, I doubt that because he wants me to feed him more food. He just doesn't want to drink. It seems like if it were his throat, he wouldn't want to eat or drink. Anyway, I'll have them work on getting his drinking back up to par. I just wish that they would leave a good thing alone. He was doing great with his drinking and then someone comes in and changes it and causes pain and now we backslide. GRRRRRR!
Today, Daniel's total volume was 31.5! This is a great volume when you aren't feeling well. The only problem was that most of it was food instead of drink. Daniel needs to be about equal in both. Due to the short gut, he needs the drink as much as the food. If Abi doesn't drink much for the day, it wouldn't bother us. With Daniel, he needs to drink!
Well, I gotta get myself to bed. Hoping you all had a good day. Abi told me the weather was beeeeeeutifullllll mommy! I miss her!
